Roaring into Spring

Lions, Tigers, and Spring Break, Oh My!

March 7, 2016

Betsy-56762Spring break is a time to celebrate the beginning of a new season. The long dreary winter is over and life is beginning anew.

Turpentine Creek understand this transition. Many of our cats survive long dreary ‘winters’ filled with loneliness, abuse, neglect, and abandonment. Yet, the moment we rescue an animal it starts their own personal ‘spring’. We watch as they blossom and grow. Sometimes it is just an attitude change while other times it is the growth from a skinny lion, with very little mane, to a large, loud, boisterous lion with a beautiful mane.

Keesha-9265Spring break is the ideal time to come out to Turpentine Creek. The animals really enjoy the cooler weather, spending most days out sunning themselves or playing with enrichment. The bears finally emerge from their dens and start exploring their habitats again.

Join us during your spring break and watch our animals continue to grow and blossom. All proceeds from visits goes to help take care of these amazing animals. Help us, Help them by visiting TCWR.
