Things to do at Turpentine Creek

Guided Habitat Tours

The half-mile guided tram tour takes visitors around to the area where the majority of our large cats’ habitats are located. The only way to view these habitats is during a guided tour.

Discovery Area

Venture around the open area of our park and see all of our smaller animal residents at your own pace. Stroll down our bear tunnel to see some of our bears and big cats (can see the other bears on specialty tours).

Behavior Management Program

Used to both encourage animals to partake in stress-reducing enrichment activity and allowing for animal care staff to more efficiently examine potential health issues.

Educational Programming

We offer a variety of programs about the animals that call the Refuge home and where they are found in the wild, species conservation, biodiversity, animal adaptations, and more.

Exclusive Behind The Scenes Tours

Get a private, behind the scenes tour of the refuge. See areas not open to the public and learn about what we do at the Refuge.

Stay Overnight

Enjoy an evening, weekend, or week at the Refuge! Get the full experience at the refuge and make fun and unique memories, all while helping the animals at Turpentine Creek.
