JJ's Story

JJ and her male companion, CeCe (now deceased), were privately owned and purchased through a breeder in Kentucky for $6,000 each. Both older cats were rehomed to Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge (TCWR) in 2021 after their previous owner could no longer provide the space needed to house them. TCWR stepped in to rescue the two servals and provide them with a forever home. When they arrived, CeCe had been neutered, and JJ had been spayed, preventing future offspring between the two. Both cats had also been declawed, so we placed them in our Pain Management Program with additional supplements to help improve their quality of life.

JJ is a docile, independent cat who loves to nap on the firehose ladders and benches in her habitat. While she enjoys investigating new toys and exploring her surroundings, she spends most of her time curled up for a nap. Whether nestled in the cozy corners of her habitat or resting in one of her dens, JJ finds comfort in her favorite napping spots.
