Hiking Stick Workshop

The Fall is a wonderful time to hike and explore the nature around you, it is also one of the best times to visit Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge and see our animals. Join us at Turpentine Creek Wildlife to make your very own hiking stick and explore the Refuge in a new way.

Upcoming Hiking Stick Workshops

Join us for our first hiking stick workshop on September 22, 2018, from 9:30 am until 1:00 pm. The workshop begins with the selection of the “perfect” stick. Throughout the morning you will be shaving and decorating your hiking stick with a wide variety of embellishments: beads, wood burners, paint, and feathers. After you finish working on your hiking sticks, we will go on a guided tour to see the animals that call the Refuge home.
