You will be able to put your camera up to the 4 inch by 4 inch squares in the fence so your photographs will have no fence in front of the cat. Our natural habitats are large enough that you can get photos that show no fences behind the cats. The trees, grasses, logs, and bushes make for very natural looking photographs. You will love your photographs.

Wear comfortable clothing and sturdy shoes as there is walking involved; and the habitats have hills, after all...it is the Ozark Mountains. Have plenty of film or camera cards as you will be amazed at how many magnificent shots you will get. Having extra batteries with you is always a good idea, too. The photo opportunities are numerous and you will not want to run out of film or camera cards.

Photowild Tours are given only early in the morning. This is because the cats are quite active first thing in the morning as they are turned out of their night time lock downs and into the their habitat. When they are turned out in the morning, they start marking their territory, investigating their yard, chasing each other, scratching trees, etc. You are sure to get amazing photographs. The other reason for doing these Photowild Tours early in the morning is that the lighting is great that time of day for photographing these big cats.

There are 23 habitats that house 70 big cats. Depending on how much time you spend at each habitat, you may get all the way around in two hours. There are a lot of cats and many times it is easy to get caught up in one cat doing something 'cute' that moving on is hard.

You will see tigers, lions, and cougars in large naturalistic habitats doing what big cats do like leaping, stalking, pouncing, playing, scratching logs and trees, and even pretending to "hide" behind grasses and bushes. There is nothing like seeing these exotic big cats in such big habitat yards just being cats. You will certainly have the opportunity to get some very unique and sure to please photographs.

No matter how many times you take the Photowild Tour, it is always exciting and different because different cats do different things each time.
